DMAE & Glucuronolactone: An Honest Look
DMAE Bitartrate and Glucuronolactone are two ingredients in the NeuroVex formula with a meaningfully smaller cognitive-specific research base than the rest.
We think being upfront about this is more useful to you than implying uniform evidence quality across every ingredient in a formula.
What DMAE is, and what we could find
DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) is a compound that has appeared in cognitive supplement formulas for decades, traditionally associated with mental alertness. When we searched for substantial, specific research on DMAE's cognitive effects, we found a smaller and older body of evidence than for ingredients like Bacopa Monnieri or Citicoline.
What Glucuronolactone is, and what we could find
Glucuronolactone is a naturally occurring compound, more commonly associated with energy-drink formulas than cognitive-specific research. We could not locate a substantial, cognitive-specific research base for this ingredient independent of caffeine-containing energy products, where it is typically combined with other compounds.

Applying this to NeuroVex
DMAE Bitartrate and Glucuronolactone are two of NeuroVex's eight ingredients. Their inclusion does not make the formula dishonest — many established products include traditional ingredients alongside better-evidenced ones — but we think you deserve to know which is which.
